Earning XP
Everybody earns 14-20 XP per session. This is 14 XP base, but it goes up by +1 (for everyone) when any player has a "character moment" that highlights one of the following:
- Their Desire
- Their Fear
- Their Strength
- Their Flaw
- Their Backstory, Allegiance, or Agenda
The max bonus is +6. No more than two character moments can come from the same player or the same category. So encouraging your other players to roleplay (and interacting with them to help) gives bonus XP for the entire table!
This rule is calibrated to our 6-player game. The general rule is that 20 XP is the maximum. For a 4-6p game, the minimum is [20 - players] with each moment giving +1 XP. For a 2-3p game, the minimum is [20 - (2 × players)] with each moment giving +2 XP.

Characteristics and Skills: Use the table below. All XP costs are cumulative; e.g., if you lack a Career Skill, adding it at level 2 costs 15 XP (5 + 10).
