Genesys RPG — Challenge Rating

Most foes in Genesys are assigned three Challenge Ratings (CRs). The first (red) is for Combat encounters, the second (blue) is for Social encounters, and the third (green) is for other General types of encounters.

Ideally, the total CR of all enemies in the encounter will be close to, but not exceed, the recommended total CR for your player group. To calculate what this is, just enter the information for your player characters (PCs).

Average XP per PC:

Special Modifiers
Most of the group has weapons doing 8+ base damage
Most of the group has +2 Soak armor and/or +2 Defense
At least two PCs can inflict multiple hits with a single attack
There is only one adversary opposing three or more PCs

Recommended CR for your PCs:

Combat CR: 2
Social CR: 2
General CR: 2
